About:
This fellowship is a comprehensive pediatric spine fellowship. The service provides all aspects of spinal deformity care and instrumentation for children in the province of British Columbia. The service operates dedicated spine clinics and deformity operative slates. The fellow will be exposed to all aspects of deformity care, early onset scolioisis, pediatric cervical spine care, spinal oncology cases and trauma in children and adolescents. The fellow will be exposed to advanced surgical management techniques for pediatric spinal deformity as well as growth modulation techniques in the skeletally immature.
Requirements:
Fellows are expected to participate in weekly spine rounds as well organize teaching for residents and medical students. Participation in pediatric spine research is mandatory with many opportunities available in a number of ongoing clinical research studies. Completion of a project to the point of publication is encouraged.

This clinical fellowship position is designed to give the applicant enhanced clinical expertise in the following areas:
- Complex pediatric spinal deformity

- Pediatric spine oncology
- Pediatric spine trauma
