About:

The University of British Columbia’s Pediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship is based at Children’s Hospital in Vancouver, BC. It is the only pediatric hospital in the province. There are seven Orthopaedic Surgeons on staff. On average, 14,000 patients are seen in the outpatient clinic each year. There are daily O.R. slates including all aspects of pediatric orthopaedics including complex limb reconstruction, hip surgery, and oncology. There is a busy emergency department and the service handles all types of pediatric trauma.

Requirements:

There is an active clinical research program. Fellows are expected to participate in clinical research and teaching during their training. Fellows have the option of completing a 2-year fellowship, which includes completing a Master’s Degree within a number of disciplines.
