The Department of Orthopaedics at UBC enjoys an international reputation for outstanding musculoskeletal research. Our research environment is remarkable for its depth and breadth in the various sub-specialties within orthopaedics. As a clinical department, our research strengths are in the areas of outcomes research in orthopaedics, epidemiological research and quality improvement. Our world-class researchers are at the forefront of exciting new developments in clinical orthopaedics, musculoskeletal science, as well as applied biomedical engineering.
